• submitting an offer for a used item,
• editing your offer for a used item,
  
• purchasing an used item through ShopTemp,
  
• purchasing an used item listed on ShopTemp without using the default payment system,
  

you must read and fully agree without reserve to our Terms and conditions described below.

Important Message Regarding Liability

You agree that ShopTemp cannot be held liable for any problem that you might encounter by either selling, purchasing or using an item through ShopTemp. We are merely an open catalog website where people are free to trade their used items. We have no control over the quality or validity of items that are submitted. You are responsible for your own actions.

Selling your items

You may sell your used items on ShopTemp completely free of charge. As such we will bear no responsibility for issues with payment or lack thereof. Payment is handled by you entirely: we will not interfere in the payment process in any way. We do not receive payments from buyers, buyers send their payments to you directly:

• either automatically via our integrated payment system,
• or manually if the buyer decides to contact you because they want to arrange a different payment method.
  

If you get in trouble with a buyer who is a registered member on GBAtemp, feel free to contact us and we will take action to ban the buyer from the website if it is confirmed that they are directly at fault.

You are perfectly allowed to sell your item on other places such as eBay or other auction sites, but please do make sure to remove your offer from ShopTemp if your item is unavailable or sold!

Purchasing items

The used items you purchase on ShopTemp are not sold by ShopTemp but by a third party as clearly stated virtually everywhere on the website. Our website allows to connect offer and demand: people who are selling their used items, and people that are looking to buy used items. As such we cannot be held liable for any problem that you might encounter with your purchase.

By using our automated payment system you may be able to benefit from a buyer protection mechanism (if available on the payment website, depending on the user account of the seller). The buyer protection is provided by the payment website and we cannot offer any help with that. If you decide not to use our automated payment system be wary of the fact that you might not be able to get any form of buyer protection.

Before making a purchase we recommend that you inspect the following elements:

• the user account of the seller on GBAtemp: read posts, threads created by the user; attempt to ensure that a user is trustworthy before entering into a transaction
  
• the feedback other users have left about this seller, if available
• get in touch with the seller before making the purchase, ask questions
• ensure that you can benefit from buyer protection from the payment platform

When do I contact ShopTemp?

In theory you shouldn't need to contact us. If you run into some kind of trouble with the item you purchased, you should be able to solve the problem with the seller directly, or using the buyer protection system from the payment platform.

If you have somehow been taken advantage of by the seller (or by the buyer, though this is less likely to happen) we will attempt to provide help. You can contact us at abuse at shoptemp, dot net. We cannot guarantee that we'll be able to do anything about your problem other than helping you identify the person.
