I had to research in order to decide which flash cart I wanted to buy for my DS, and it was a tough decision. Even though I knew already, that hands down Cyclo DS would be the best, I didn’t have the $45 (or $50+ on other sites) to afford one of the BEST flash carts, so I went searching for the SECOND best. I’ve heard a lot of complaints about R4, yet heard of the way it has suddenly soared back up to the top, but I personally did not wish to chance it. During my research, I was led here. I saw the Acekard 3, and decided to check it out, read some reviews, and compared prices. Not only are the prices of ShopTemp cheaper, but you get your money’s worth!!
Enough about how I got here to buy my Acekard, and onto my thoughts about the Acekard. When it arrived, it delivered. I ordered the package where ShopTemp would load my Flashcart with the latest and greatest firmware, and they delivered! Not only did it work without me changing one single setting, but compatibility was 100%, even for recent, or games that normally give people trouble in a flash cart. Everything but ONE thing came in excellent, and perfect working condition, the one thing was the SD adapter, it didn’t work, but there are bound to be dud’s out there when ordering off the internet, so that’s forgiven.
I give this item a close to perfect 4 out of 5 for all that’s been done. Thank you.

I bought this card thanks to the reviews on GBAtemp. Had this card for three months, and I'm still loving it! And AKAIO makes this much better. The spring loaded slot kind of broke, but I kind of figured out how to fix in the end. But, it's pretty great, if you plan on buying one of these.

I purchased the Acekard 2.1 as my first flash card, seeing as I was poor and needed games for the long trip down. Being the pirating asshat that I am, I decided that I was going to grab me a flash card. Must say I'm happy this was my first one.
Build - 3/5
The card itself is VERY flimsy, but it fits like a normal card, doesn't stick out, ect. Handle with care.
Features/Usability - 4/5
Getting it set up was a breeze, just extract the loader and file system into your formatted Micro SD card, and toss your .nds files right in there. Simple as that. Supports all the usual features such as soft reset and download play.
Games - 5/5
No compatibility issues, full support for saves and homebrew.
Overall - 4/5
Could be a little tougher, but all in all a sold flashcard for the beginner (that's me).
