CycloDS iEvolution Description
The CycloDS iEvolution Card for Nintendo DS, DS Lite and DSi is a popular slot-1 flash cart solution that allows you to launch games, run applications and play media directly from the device. Simply place your files onto either a micro SD or SDHC memory card (sold separately), insert the micro SD into your CycloDS, your cart into your DS, and turn the system on. Playing games and media has never been easier!
The CycloDS boasts features such as full download play support, DLDI auto-patching, an enhanced in-game menu, slow motion, microSD SDHC support and much more! If you're looking for a simple and reliable flash cart for the Nintendo DS or DS Lite, the CycloDS Evolution may be the one for you.
This cart is the first one to support DSi mode homebrew: you will be able to run homebrew that make use of the DSi potential, including new devices and system capacities.

Past it's prime.

As a past CycloDS enthusiast it pains me a little to right this review.
The *original* CycloDS was a true hallmark of flashcarts, with steady support, a great set of innovative features and a well manufactured build.
The CycloDSi is a shadow of that.
The iEvolution has a number of flaws that stop it from being a worthwhile purchase purchase, but to summarise the whole thing there's three big issues.
1: DSi mode aside, the CycloDSi is identical to the old CycloDS, no new features or improvements to be found. The same old relegated real-time menu is here, with a long delay before you can even see it.
2: Stability, DSi mode can be pretty unstable but even in DS mode, on a DSi or a DS Lite, my iEvolution has frequently been freezing in games like Pokémon Platinum or Sonic Rush Adventure.
3: The Price! It's not at all justifiable.
The build quality is remarkably cheap and the features are all dated compared to its competitors.
A word about the DSi mode, it's hype.
All existing homebrew may either get a nice performance boost, or simply not work at all (even in DS mode). I have tried Pokémon Black in DSi mode, it worked, but it malfunctioned, WIFI behaved as if it was disabled on the DSi.
On top of that, to make it possible to run in DSi mode, you have to manually (and illegally) obtain two DS roms, one for DS mode and the other for DSi mode. This was a real hassle to set up.
There was a time when the CycloDS was top dog, but that time has passed. The iEvolution is a product that is terribly stagnated whilst the competition has superseded it, in features, stability and price.

$50??? NOT WORTH IT

Terrible cart, new games does not work and their claim to fame "DSi mode" is buggy and don't work right.
A cheap $12 acekard is way better than this cart

To add to my previous review, they recently resolved the freezing issue in firmware 2.2, which makes it a little better.
The CycloDS still has some problems however, such as the first boot after a firmware update taking a very long time.
I had to wait something like 90 seconds, thinking the CycloDS may have frozen.
Overall you should still look elsewhere for a DSi flashcart.

CycloDS iEvolution is the first and only product in the market to support operating in DSi mode, providing access to DSi exclusive hardware features such as dual cameras, faster CPU speed, additional RAM, improved WiFi support and more. DSi enhanced games are fully supported on CycloDS iEvolution, including the special features associated with these titles such as camera support.
Homebrew software is also able to fully take advantage of the performance gains inherent in DSi mode
The user interface is multi-lingual, currently supporting the following languages: English, French, German, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Dutch, Greek, Indonesian, Malaysian, Russian, Tagalog, Latin American Spanish and Portuguese.
