WODE JukeBox Standard for Nintendo Wii Description
The WODE JukeBox Standard for Nintendo Wii is a solderless modification device that upon connecting a USB harddrive (sold separately) allows you to play backup and imported Wii and GameCube games without the mandatory use of a disc or traditional modchips. The system can then be controlled via the built-in LCD screen and joystick, via GameCube menu interface, or using the homebrew WODE menu.
The Wii Optical Drive Emulator, or WODE as its more commonly referred to, offers the very best in Nintendo Wii modification and emulation, and acts as a superior and somewhat more user-friendly alternative to most soldered and solderless modchips alike.

When updated with its latest firmware, the WODE Jukebox offers the following functionality:
- Play Wii & GameCube game ISOs directly from a USB storage device at 8X read speed (HDD and flash drive).
- Completely solder free installation.
- Easy to use GUI - LCD menu & joystick. No homebrew software required (no any update of console can block this device)
- Region hack (works on Wii with firmware 4.1 and lower). Update blocker and autoboot included.
- Passthrough with FLAT-MOD mode built-in, play your DVD-R Wii & GC backups and imports at 3X read speed.
- Powerful ARM9 MCU.
- Entirely flexible Linux kernel.
- USB hub support for multiple USB device connections.
- Strong file system support - use existing WBFS formatted media or 'drag and drop' ISOs to an existing USB devices.

It's OK if you need gamecube compatibility but not otherwise

Well, in the world of softmods and usb loaders this products seems completely superfluous. for $95 you can buy an 500 gb external hard drive, hook it up to your wii, and install configurable usb loader - and your wii's warranty will still not be lost as you do not need to take it apart.
This has only one feature that softmodded usb loaders do not: it can load gamecube iso-s from har drive. That's all. This is not such a big deal, as lots of gamecube games now have their official wii port (e.g. pikmin, resident evil, etc.)
Think twice before you decide.

The world's best Wii chip

I've had a WODE since it was first released. As a previous owner of three other chips - FlatMii, WiiKey2, and DriveKey, I've got to say that WODE is hands-down the best. Not only does it let you load both burnt backups on disc and play ISOs off of your hard drive, but it also has features exclusive to the WODE such as disc ripping. It's constantly updated by the great WODE team, so it will have even more amazing features soon such as streaming ISOs over WiFi and choosing games through the Wii's Opera Browser. Every game you play works 100%, and BCA is supported. If you have the Homebrew Channel, you can even get GUI loaders to choose the games off of your hard drive, making this the most user-friendly modchip out there. If you're looking for the best modchip for the Wii, don't delay, buy WODE now!
