We hope you’re excited about the new 3DS console – we certainly were, and one of us almost went dizzy trialling Steel Diver at the launch party by twirling in circles to locate targets! It’s a heap of fun and certainly looks to be taking handheld gaming to the next level.
Anyway, 3DS users can rejoice in the fact that NDS-Gear now have no fewer than four 3DS-compatible cards! They are:
• R4i 3DS - the R4i SDHC team have re-issued the card to be compatible with the 3DS. This card is the cheapest option, and isn't upgradable (if you update your Nintendo firmware you'll need to buy a new card), but the most popular card at entry-level.
• M3i Zero - The most advanced card out there, this card is perfect for homebrew developers and is a favourite among the more advanced homebrew gamers. Direct flash cable also included for any future hardware updates if required. The M3i Zero Sakura firmware is also co-written by the creator of the popular Moonshell; these guys really know what they're doing!
• Acekard 2i - arguably the most solid team in terms of upgrades, the Acekard 2i team reacted within a week both to the Nintendo 1.4.1 upgrade and the release of the Nintendo 3DS, to make sure their card was easily compatible with everything. Basic, rugged, reliable, and arguably the best all-rounder.
• EZFlash Vi - this card never ceases to amaze, in that no update was even required for it to work on the 3DS! The way this card is coded is simply so unique that Nintendo hardware updates to date have not triggered any large problems for the EZFlash team.

Hey there Nintendo Fans,
It’s official, it’s set, the Nintendo 3DS is coming out and we know all the details! The scaldingly anticipated Nintendo 3DS will launch in the USA on March 27th 2011 at $250.00. Preorders are already filling up at your local Gamestop (SKU#020132), we recommend checking with your local big box stores as well to secure one.
The new console will feature more involved wireless services, a 3d camera, a much needed analog stick, and of course the large glowing glasses-free 3D top screen. The launch titles to be available are listed below for the month of March, new titles will keep coming out throughout the summer.
